Software product extends use of Follr Digital Identity Websites to communities, associations, professional bodies, membership groups and societies.
Emeryville, CA (February 13th, 2012) Follr, Inc., today announced the release of “Follr Community”, a free Web based SaaS (Software as a Service) product aimed at helping communities, associations, professional bodies, membership groups and societies to help them better serve participants, grow member base and generate revenue.
The announcement follows the recent release of Follr Business, which alongside Follr Solo, makes this the company’s third product since its 2011 formation.
Follr’s digital identity Websites organize and aggregate an individual’s online information making it accessible via one memorable Website address. The software will allow organizations to protect their brand and increase exposure by leveraging their membership to identify and drive Web-based traffic to official marketing channels including Facebook business pages and Twitter.
As a result of a recently announced partnership with WiseStamp, Follr Community will also help organizations participate in social conversation by extending and syndicating blog content, tweets and marketing messages through the email signatures of their members.
While free to every organization using it, Follr Community provides members with an opportunity to upgrade their account. Follr will share a portion of the revenue generated from these upgrades thereby creating an immediate and significant revenue source for clients using the platform. The software also provides a way for an organization to help its membership with social marketing.

Using a Web-based administration system, organizations can mandate the inclusion of specific content including Website addresses, video, social identities and social content like blog posts and tweets. Sometimes referred to as an online or ‘social business card’, the Websites display full contact information via a unique, organization or brand specific domain name.

Follr Community will also help individuals network more closely simultaneously allowing organizations to connect with their members on a closer and more consistent basis. This is expected to increase membership counts.
The Follr products are used in multiple industry segments but have seen significant growth in the real estate market as a result of Follr’s exclusive relationship with single property Website and social marketing company AgencyLogic.com. REALTOR’s can highlight homes for sale and can add real estate social identities including Realtor.com, Inman News, ActiveRain and State specific MLS. Additionally, Follr has been included in the National Association of REALTORS e-PRO Technology Certification Program.
